Jennifer is a newcomer to the art scene, after she chose to lean on her talents as an instrument of healing after a vertebrae was removed from her neck with a diagnosis of degenerative cervical myelopathy and syringomyelia: art has been pouring out ever since. Jennifer‘s painting techniques are adapted to her neurological function (on any given day) and are as varied as her symptoms as a result. Within the ‘Wendy Collection’, Jennifer has produced artwork with her right hand, her left hand, paintbrushes, and her fingers. When she can’t paint she sings. This Art collection is inspired by her time living in a lake house owned by the family of her friend Wendy, because of the rock solid generosity and friendship that’s characteristic of Muskoka’s intergenerational culture. This show is dedicated to her memory.
