“Windows on the World” gives a glimpse into the multi-faceted life of Dorset painter, Elizabeth Johnson. Her oil paintings open a window to the variety of landscapes, and interiors that Elizabeth inhabits or visits in her travels. The very expressive quality and the blending capabilities of oil paint, allow Elizabeth to imbue her landscapes with energy and texture.
A high school teacher of language and literature, Elizabeth studied art on the side at the University of Guelph, the Haliburton School of the Arts, and through many workshops in Canada and in the United States.
In the winter she paints in her boathouse on Shoe Lake near Dorset. In warmer weather, Elizabeth paints outdoors. Her work and art shows can be viewed on line at www.elizabethjohnson.ca
