Lloyd Walton

I am a painter, writer, and filmmaker. As a painter, I wish the viewer to take a second look and think….
As a nonfiction writer, the first part of my book, historiography, contains chapters that are metaphorical premonitions that will follow. As a filmmaker, I have about 30 films on my YouTube channel, Lloyd Walton Films. The films are about history, nature, and culture.
THE WINTER CAMP: A young farmer leaves his home and family in 1932 and travels by train and snowshoes to a lumber camp to spend the winter. He is the “Greenhorn” and must muster up to the strict protocols of bush camp behaviours back in those days.
ELK ODYSSEY: Long thought to be extinct in Ontario, a small herd of Elk survived in the French River area. This spurred a group of conservationists from Sudbury to re-introduce Elk to this province. It was an elaborate plan with many challenges but met with ultimate success.
