Jori Morrison
Jori completed formal classroom studies in the 1970s in fabric dying and batiking. 1990 until 2005 Les Drysdale and Kathryn Bourbeniere were the most influential teachers at the “Burlington art centre” where she practised life drawing, perspective drawing and painting with watercolour. Jori also had formal training at the “Dundas Valley School of Art” in abstraction and composition in acrylics from Marlow Panko,and Jane Gordon.
Since 2019 Jori has taken numerous online courses to further her studies in portraiture, colour theory, composition and abstraction.Jori completed two years of “Painting with Fire”which teaches the art of Encaustics (wax paint).
Jori’s paintings often express the vibrant atmospheres of Muskoka and PEI. Today, Jori has expanded into making her wooden “wall boxes” and is currently enjoying drawing portraitures in pencil.
