Donna Griffin-Smith

An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Donna’s experiences when hiking, paddling and wilderness camping provide the inspiration and subject matter for her watercolour paintings. Realistic landscapes, floral and nature studies portray her love of the outdoors and fascination with the intricate detail inherent in nature. Donna studied art history and design at Trent University, and has a Visual Arts Specialist certificate in art education. She has painted with watercolour for more than 35 years, and developed her skills in this challenging medium by taking workshops with various artists. She has shown her work at galleries and art festivals since 1981, and currently her paintings can be viewed at her home studio in Huntsville.
