Marianne Barnett

I have always been passionate about art as my father was also an artist. I love the work of the Group of Seven, particularly Tom Thompson. I started taking painting and drawing lessons in Toronto in 2009. After moving to Muskoka in February, 2017, I began taking painting lessons from Janine Marson. She has been a great inspiration to me. I use acrylic paints and have recently taken up watercolour this year. I enjoy painting landscapes, but have lately been drawn to painting animals. I love the luminosity and vibrant colours of watercolour paints. When I am painting, I am in my happy place.
