DESCRIPTION:Delve into the history of cyanotypes at Muskoka Heritage Place with Muskoka Printmaker Collective artist Dawn Huddlestone! \nDawn is a printmaker\, photographer and biologist by training\, with a particular interest in alternative processes\, historical techniques\, and the ways in which art and nature can interact. Learn the basics of this historical printmaking technique and print your own photograms to take home! Participants in this workshop will learn beginner-friendly techniques of this early photographic process – no experience required. All materials are provided\, and participants are also welcome to bring their own fresh or dried natural materials (leaves\, flowers\, or feathers\, for example) to print. \nSpace is limited so register here today! DESCRIPTION:FALL 2024 – OCT 19TH – CLASS 3 \nAdults – class materials are included – classes are 2 hours each\, please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. \nJoin owner Sam Sullivan for this creative workshop to explore the world of watercolours. Create and practice how to complete an interesting landscape learning from different techniques. This workshop is to enhance ideas\, creativity\, expand and shape and explore through landscapes in a professional artist run studio inside Red Pine Art Supply. Learn contemporary and historical art relations\, materials and techniques to what is being learned and have an opportunity to discuss each others work in a safe\, relaxing and comfortable space. Class sizes are limited to 4 students. No refunds once registration is complete or for missed classes. If class needs to be cancelled due to weather or unexpected reasons\, we will notify all students as soon as possible. Please provide us with your best contact info. \nOur studio space is a safe and comfortable place to learn and explore art\, we request this remains an area of respect and civility for everyone. Please dress comofortably and prepared to do art! \nPlease advise us via redpineartsupply@outlook.com for any accessibility needs\, allergies and if you have questions regarding any materials used\, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. \nSam Sullivan is the owner of Red Pine Art Supply and a graduate of Ontario College of Art & Design and is a contemporary /abstract artist who sells to commission-based clients. Her work is housed in private collections throughout Canada and currently enjoys showing her work with fellow artists in local art shows in Muskoka. She is also an active member of the Huntsville Art Society Board and strong advocate for the arts community as an artist and patron of the arts.
