SUMMARY:HAS at HPL: Dawn Huddlestone
DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville Art Society presents cyanotype artist Dawn Huddlestone at Huntsville Public Library. \nThe cyanotype process is a photographic technique created in the mid-1800s and popularized by Anna Atkins as a means of capturing botanical prints. Paper\, fabric\, or other natural materials are coated with a UV-sensitive solution\, covered with plants\, feathers\, other items\, or a photo negative\, and then exposed to the sun (or a UV lamp) to capture the image in stunning Prussian blue background. Cyanotypes can also be bleached\, toned\, and otherwise altered to interesting effect. It’s like magic!
